RØDE has released another update of RØDE Connect. Version 1.3 adds compatibility with VideoMic NTG. This is the first gun microphone compatible with this software. VideoMic NTG is a good solution for desktop stands or studio arms for podcasting and streaming media.

If you are not familiar with RØDE Connect, it is a software solution for recording professional-quality podcasts and live broadcasts. It allows up to four RØDE microphones to be connected to a computer. It has a complete digital mixer with level control, solo and mute buttons, and one-key access to a studio-quality audio processor. It also provides a wide range of features for podcasting and streaming, including customizable sound pads and virtual channels

This is the third RØDE product compatible with RØDE Connect, adding NT-USB Mini and Wireless GO II.

To cope with this update, RØDE also released WS-Chroma, a set of green and blue windshields for VideoMic NTG. The colored foam allows the microphone to be placed overhead for the best sound quality, and then the chroma can be adjusted outside the lens.

RØDE Connect version 1.3 can be downloaded from rode.com/rode-connect. WS-Chroma is now shipping worldwide.
