Rode has added a premium Lavalier II to its tie-clip microphone series, perfect for keeping a low profile

Rode has added Lavalier II premium microphones to its compact audio product line. This wearable tie clip microphone adopts a new low-key design, which is more concealed and easier to hide than competitors' lav microphones.

Rode can almost guarantee excellent sound quality, but Lavalier II in particular can provide broadcast-grade sound quality, providing rich and detailed audio through omnidirectional directivity, and being able to pick up crystal-clear sound from all directions.

It is said that the flat frequency response of this microphone can provide high-quality audio capture in broadcasting, film production, content creation, live broadcasting and podcasting applications. The microphone's flat cable is very discreet and can be easily passed through clothes when needed, with an ultra-compact mounting clip and 3.5 mm TRS lock connector.

In addition to attractive specifications, the Lavalier II microphone looks as good as it sounds. The design of the newer model seems to be slimmer, with a low-profile capsule design that is flush with the clothes, and a smaller clip. It comes with a flat cable that can be extended to a length of 1200 mm.

The attached advanced accessory kit is equipped with an explosion-proof filter to filter out unwanted wind and hiss. The included furry mini windshield is helpful for outdoor recording in high wind conditions, and the multi-function mounting clip has a cable management slot, which looks neat when installed on your clothes. The kit includes four colorful ID ring tags to help manage your multi-microphone setup, and the convenient zipper box is self-explanatory.

Lavalier II is the perfect companion for a series of Rode devices, including Wireless GO II and AI-Micro dual-channel interface. It can be used with smartphones and tablet devices with TRRS output.

Rode's new microphone is available now, B&H pre-order price is 99 dollars, Wex price is 99 pounds.
