Ray Garrison can be found “In The Clouds,” translating his heavy-pop-meets-rock roots with dance/electronic influence in an in-your-face manner that demands your listenership. As the accompanying visual for his latest single demonstrates, when a microphone is placed before Garrison, his musicality and live performative acumen hit their peak, culminating in a commanding stage presence. The music video for his follow-up to “Leeches” with Crazy Town pits Garrison right there behind the transducer for an impassioned lyrical delivery of a song that soundtracks the prelude to his forthcoming debut solo studio album, THE MORGUE. The revved-up number takes inspiration from situations when one must bite their tongue and “take the high road in response to someone saying something that upset you,” Garrison said. In addition to writing the lyrics about taking the high road to the clouds, Garrison produced, mixed, and mastered “In The Clouds” and even designed its artwork. A threat on multiple counts of talent, Garrison is no newcomer to the music industry; prior to developing this artist project under his own name, he produced dance/electronic music as PHYNX.
