Mr. Vinod Kumar said that the public, especially those living on the edge of the forest, have also become victims of the illegal behavior of a small number of anti-social individuals.

"We have brought this issue to the attention of the Kerala High Court. The department has decided to take severe action against the perpetrators in accordance with the Wildlife Protection Act. Criminals who trap tigers and other animals in Schedule 1 of the Act will be sentenced to seven sentences. Years in prison," he said.

At the same time, a contingent of 127 forestry personnel composed of members of the Forestry Department’s rapid response team, forest veterinarians, and two kumkis (trained elephants) formed a task force in Kurukanmola. And the neighboring areas have been sorted out. On Wednesday, the elusive tiger was searched for in the Begur forest of the North Wayanad Forest Department, but they were unable to track the animal.
